Relief Prints

I really enjoy creating very tactile and simple forms of art. Relief printing is one of those mediums where I feel there is a strong connection between creation and production. Even though it is a very old craft, it still has relevance and a strong community of artist who refine, innovate and preserve its traditions. With each of these print designs I carved a linoleum tile; some of them free-hand and some using hand drawings which I transferred to the tile for carving. Because of the nature of the printing process, each print is a little different and all produce a slightly raised print mark which is common for relief prints.
